Since the work’s been done, I feel a lot better in myself. I’ve become happier. Anyone who needs the help and can get the help, should find that support from London Rebuilding Society. It’ll make the world of a difference to their life. I’m ever so grateful.
My experience in working with London Rebuilding Society is a very positive one, I feel the team are passionate in the work they do, they strive to improve the lives, as well as the properties of their vulnerable clients.Case worker Redbridge
It was a slow deterioration over the years because we felt we didn’t have the money to decorate or anything like that. It became too much. We had a back door for the kitchen that was all rusted and we didn’t want to use it in case the rest of the kitchen fell down. And then it did… My youngest son [26-year-old] wouldn’t have any of his friends round because it was in such a state.
Now, when I come around the corner I think, ‘that’s not my house’. It’s a brand new home.
With help from LRS our lives have been completely transformed. We are now happy and healthy.Sandra Homeowner
I had the pleasure of working with the London Rebuilding Society to establish positive outcomes for a service user in 2009.
London Rebuilding Society followed a holistic approach as they supported the service user in managing his finances, his health, welfare and housing needs. They demonstrated sensitivity towards his wishes and personal history.

No-one should live in unsafe, cold, ill heated homes. For older people this not only impacts on their health, but can create anxiety, loneliness, and isolation. Homeowners of 55 and over who cannot find the support and finance they need to repair their homes now have an option – the London Rebuilding Society’s Home Improvement Scheme.
As our elderly population grows, the shortage of care homes, and care budgets stretched to breaking point, this Scheme enables elderly homeowners to remain in their homes, suited to their ongoing needs: happier and healthier.

…we could not believe it was possible that there was help out there for us. The stress and worry served to aggravate Angela’s two incurable illnesses and I myself have spent many sleepless nights worrying about losing our home and where we would end up.
Our lives have changed for the better especially for Angela with her debilitating conditions. We have pride in our home and are able to hold our heads up high…Angela’s husband homeowner
